Fisher Injury Lawyers invites students in all areas of study to submit applications for the firm’s new scholarship, the Changing History Scholarship. The team invites students to think about one event in world history, large or small, that they would change before discussing that change in a 1,000 to 1,500-word scholarship essay.
Applicants have the opportunity to win $2,500 in financial support to dedicate toward their continued education. The scholarship selection committee would love to see applications from incoming freshmen, current undergraduates, and graduate students in financial need.
Anyone interested in applying for the Changing History Scholarship has until May 30, 2025, to complete their applications.
Eligibility Requirements
Students who want to apply for this scholarship must:
- Have a 3.0 GPA (must include unofficial transcript);
- Be enrolled in or admitted to an accredited college or university as a undergraduate student;
- Be a US citizen or otherwise authorized to work or attend school in the US
- Write an essay on the proposed topic and upload it through the form;
- Submit proof of acceptance or enrollment in college/university
- Have a financial need and submit proof of household income (i.e., tax returns, pay stubs, or other relevant financial documentation)
- Apply using the form on this page; and
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions
Application Requirements
Undergraduate students in all fields of study may apply for the Fisher Injury Lawyers’ Changing History Scholarship. However, all applicants must agree to the scholarship’s terms and conditions and submit completed applications before the scholarship deadline expires.
Students must also prove that they are enrolled in or accepted at an accredited college or university in the United States and provide proof of household income (i.e., tax returns, pay stubs, or other relevant financial documentation). The scholarship selection committee will automatically disqualify students who don’t meet these criteria from the application pool.
The firm expects applicants to complete a scholarship essay between 1,000 and 1,500 words in length addressing its scholarship prompt. Upon completing their essay, students should fill out the application form on this page and upload a copy of their essay in a Word format.
Scholarship Essay Topic
Fisher Injury Lawyers wants students to ask themselves, “If you could change one event in world history, which would you choose to change and why?” Students have between 1,000 and 1,500 words to draft a well-researched answer to this question. We encourage students to embrace their creativity and target world events.
Students’ essays should include the following:
- A header including the student’s full name, student ID number, the name of the Changing History Scholarship, and the name, address, email address, and phone number of the student’s academic institution of choice.
- A catchy, original title
- A bibliography of sources used, if applicable
- Citations, if applicable
The team asks students to double-space their essays, maintain consistent margins, and refrain from using highly decorative fonts or images to enhance their work. Students should also save their essays as Changing History Scholarship 2025 – [Student Name].
Fisher Injury Lawyers requests that students do not use AI to generate their scholarship application essays. The use of AI will result in a student’s automatic removal from the application pool.

Application Deadline
Students have until May 30, 2025, to compile their application materials and submit an application form to Fisher Injury Lawyers. The scholarship selection committee cannot consider scholarship applications submitted after this deadline passes.
The scholarship selection committee reserves up to three months to read through students’ scholarship application essays. We ask that neither students nor their families reach out to the firm during that time period. Our team will reach out to a student if we need more information about them to choose a scholarship winner.
Terms and Conditions
All applicants to this scholarship must meet the eligibility requirements as laid out on the scholarship application page, including:
- Applicant must be enrolled or accepted at a college, or university
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old at the age of enrollment
- Applicant must have residency in the United States
- Applicant must be in good academic standing
- Applicant must submit some personal information, including name, contact information, and academic information.
- Applicant must author an original essay on the scholarship essay topic provided.
Anyone who meets the following conditions is NOT eligible to apply:
- Employees or children of employees of Fisher Injury Lawyers
- Past recipients of the Changing History Scholarship
- Applicants who are unable/unwilling to be interviewed by a representative of Fisher Injury Lawyers if they were to be awarded a scholarship.
- Applicants who submit the same essay/video for multiple scholarships or for multiple years in a row
Selection & Award Notification Process
Fisher Injury Lawyers cannot consider scholarship applications submitted after May 30, 2025. Once the scholarship deadline passes, the scholarship selection committee will read through each applicant’s essay to assess its quality, creativity, and compliance with the scholarship’s guidelines.
Age, race, religion, gender, national origin, familial status, or other protected classes will have no influence on the committee’s decision.
We ask that neither students nor their families reach out to Fisher Injury Lawyers with questions about a scholarship application’s status. The team will announce its scholarship winner up to three months after the scholarship submission deadline passes. Fisher Injury Lawyers will celebrate its winner’s achievements via a press release and blog post.
Our team will then reach out to the winning student’s college, university, or graduate school to arrange a transfer of funds.
