Fisher Injury Lawyers invites students in all areas of study to submit applications for the firm’s scholarship, the Lessons in Literature Scholarship. The team invites students to reflect on one book that has made a meaningful impact on their life and to share how it influenced their perspective, choices, or goals in a 1,000 to 1,500-word scholarship essay.
Applicants have the opportunity to win $2,500 in financial support to dedicate toward their continued education. The scholarship selection committee would appreciate receiving applications from incoming freshmen, current undergraduates, and graduate students in financial need.
Anyone interested in applying for the Lessons in Literature Scholarship has until June 1, 2026, to complete their applications.
Eligibility Requirements
Students who want to apply for this scholarship must:
- Have a 3.0 GPA (must include unofficial transcript);
- Be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work or attend school in the U.S.;
- Write an essay on the proposed topic and upload it through the form;
- Be enrolled in or admitted to an accredited college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student;
- Submit proof of acceptance or enrollment in college/university;
- Have a financial need and submit proof of household income (i.e., tax returns, pay stubs, or other relevant financial documentation)
- Apply using the form on this page; and
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Application Requirements
Undergraduate and graduate students in all fields of study may apply for the Fisher Injury Lawyers’ Lessons in Literature Scholarship. However, all applicants must agree to the scholarship’s terms and conditions and submit completed applications before the scholarship deadline expires.
Students must also prove that they are enrolled in or accepted at an accredited college or university in the United States and provide proof of household income (i.e., tax returns, pay stubs, or other relevant financial documentation). The scholarship selection committee will automatically disqualify students who don’t meet these criteria from the application pool.
The firm expects applicants to complete a scholarship essay between 1,000 and 1,500 words in length addressing its scholarship prompt. Upon completing their essay, students should fill out the application form on this page and upload a copy of their essay in a Word format.
Scholarship Essay Topic
Fisher Injury Lawyers wants students to ask themselves, “What book has had the greatest influence on your life, and how has it shaped your perspective, choices, or goals?” Students have between 1,000 and 1,500 words to draft a well-researched answer to this question. We encourage students to embrace their creativity and share how literature has made a meaningful impact on them.
Students’ essays should include the following:
- A header including the student’s full name, student ID number, personal email address and phone number, the name of the Lessons in Literature Scholarship, and the name, email address, and phone number of the student’s academic institution of choice.

- A catchy, original title
- A bibliography of sources used, if applicable
- Citations, if applicable
The team asks students to double-space their essays, maintain consistent margins, and refrain from using highly decorative fonts or images to enhance their work. Students should also save their essays as FIL Literature Scholarship 2026 – [Student Last Name].
Fisher Injury Lawyers requests that students not use AI to generate their scholarship application essays. The use of AI will result in a student’s automatic removal from the application pool.

Application Deadline
Students have until June 1, 2026, to compile their application materials and submit an application form to Fisher Injury Lawyers. The scholarship selection committee cannot consider scholarship applications submitted after this deadline passes.
The scholarship selection committee reserves up to three months to read through students’ scholarship application essays. We ask that neither students nor their families reach out to the firm during that time period. Our team will reach out to a student if we need more information about them to choose a scholarship winner. A winner will be chosen on July 1, 2026, and the student will first be notified directly of their award. Fisher Injury Lawyers reserves the right to market and announce the scholarship winner on social media and through a press release. We kindly request that the scholarship winner create a brief thank-you message after notification of their award and share it through Google Reviews and their personal social media platforms.
Selection & Award Notification Process
Fisher Injury Lawyers cannot consider scholarship applications submitted after June 1, 2026. Once the scholarship deadline passes, the scholarship selection committee will read through each applicant’s essay to assess its quality, creativity, and compliance with the scholarship’s guidelines.
Age, race, religion, gender, national origin, familial status, or other protected classes will have no influence on the committee’s decision.
We ask that neither students nor their families reach out to Fisher Injury Lawyers with questions about a scholarship application’s status. The team will announce its scholarship winner up to one month after the scholarship submission deadline passes. Fisher Injury Lawyers will celebrate its winners’ achievements via a press release, blog post, and social media posts.
Upon request from the scholarship winner, our team will coordinate with the winning student’s college, university, or graduate school to arrange a transfer of funds.
Terms and Conditions
All applicants to this scholarship must meet the eligibility requirements as laid out on the scholarship application page, including:
- Applicant must be enrolled in or accepted to a college or university
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment
- Applicant must have residency in the United States
- Applicant must be in good academic standing
- Applicant must submit some personal information, including name, contact information, and academic information
- Applicant must author an original essay on the scholarship essay topic provided
Anyone who meets the following conditions is NOT eligible to apply:
- Past recipients of any Fisher Injury Lawyers’ scholarships.
- Applicants who are unable/unwilling to be interviewed by a representative of Fisher Injury Lawyers, if they were to be awarded a scholarship.
- Applicants who submit the same essay/video for multiple scholarships or for multiple years in a row.
