August 30, 2019 Zachary, LA – 1 Killed, 1 Injured In Head-On Crash With Bus On LA-19 Near Sunset Blvd Zachary, LA (August 29, 2019) – Officials of the Zachary Police Department (ZPD) were at the scene of a deadly crash involving a stolen vehicle on Wednesday, August 28. The crash took place on LA-19 in the area between Sunset Boulevard and Pride Port Hudson Road around 2:30 p.m. The crash involved a head-on collision with a school bus. The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office identified the deceased victims as 36-year-old Dustin Adams. The pickup truck Adams’ was driving at the time of the crash was reported stolen. The accident occurred when the truck unexpectedly collided with a school bus in a head-on crash. There were no students on board the bus at the time of the accident. There was another individual injured in the accident. ZPD has not yet released the identification of the other injured individual, nor the status of their injuries. An investigation is underway into the cause of the collision. We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of Dustin Adams at this time.
