St. Helena Parish, LA – Head-On Wreck Takes Man’s Life on LA-16

St. Helena Parish, LA (June 2, 2019) – Sources indicate that a man lost his life after a head-on crash with another car on State Highway 16. The wreck took place early in the morning on Sunday, June 2^nd, at 3:35 a.m.

One driver involved, Ronald Lee Davis, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Davis was driving a 2002 Buick LeSabre, traveling eastbound on LA-16, when he veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a 2002 Cadillac DeVille.

The other driver, a 35-year-old man, sustained severe injuries in the wreck. He was brought to a medical facility via helicopter for treatment.

Davis’s passenger, his 38-year-old wife, suffered moderate injuries as well. She was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

Officials do not believe that intoxication was relevant to this case. No one involved was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
