Shreveport, LA – Medical Emergency After Crash On LA-526 At Newcastle Blvd

Shreveport, LA (August 27, 2019) – A serious collision involving at least two vehicles took place on Tuesday, August 27, in west Shreveport. The crash was reported to be a medical emergency by local sources, with many emergency response units responding to the scene. The accident occurred around 7 a.m. at the intersection of LA-526 (West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop) and Newcastle Boulevard. 

The wreck occurred in the westbound lanes of LA-526. The roadway was closed as emergency responders rendered aid to the injured parties involved and cleared the road of the wreckage and resulting debris. The accident happened a few blocks away from the Trinity Baptist Church.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
