Shreveport, LA – Injuries Reported in Head-On Crash On I-49 At E. 70th St

Shreveport, LA (June 17, 2019) – A driver traveling the wrong way down I-49 caused a multi-vehicle car wreck, police officials say. The crash in question happened on Sunday, June 16th, in the early evening at around 9:40 p.m. The wreck happened near the intersection with I-49 and E. 70th St.

The Shreveport Police Department claims that the at-fault driver hit into a concrete wall then struck a number of vehicles after the initial crash.

There was at least one hospitalization reported, with an injured victim being taken to Ochsner LSU Health.

The crash is currently under investigation by officials.
