Shreveport, LA – 8-Year-Old Critically Injured In Head-On Crash On Hollywood Ave

Shreveport, LA (July 6, 2019) – An 8-year-old boy was taken to a hospital for treatment of severe injuries sustained in a collision on Hollywood Ave, according to reports. The wreck happened on Friday, July 5^th, at 7:12 p.m. Police units were dispatched to the scene along with emergency response units to provide assistance at the crash site.

Authorities state that the wreck involved a truck that crossed a divider in the middle of the road, striking another vehicle head-on which contained a mother and child. 

The mother and the truck driver both sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident.

The child who sustained critical injuries was reported to be conscious at the hospital.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
