Roanoke, LA – Pilot Injured in Small Plane Crash Near David Road

Roanoke, LA (July 24, 2019) – Around 8:20 a.m. this morning, July 24^th, police and other responders were immediately called to the scene of a small plane crash near David Road.

According to authorities, the plane went down for reasons that are not known. The small plane, also called a “crop duster,” struck a power pole when it landed in the area. The plane then lost one of its wings and struck a tree before it came to a stop in a field.

The pilot was able to get out of the plane and was immediately transported to the hospital. Luckily, he only sustained minor injuries and is expected to recover.

At this time, the NTSB is investigating the accident.
