Rapides Parish, LA – Man Killed and Another Injured in Accident on LA-121

Rapides Parish, LA (June 22, 2019) – Sources have reported that on Thursday evening, June 20th, a man driving a vehicle on LA-121 was killed in a crash that injured his passenger, a woman from Logansport, near LA-496.

Officials and paramedics arrived at the scene of the crash at around 8:20 p.m. The deceased victim was 67-year-old Christopher G. Tackett who was driving a 1993 GMC pickup truck traveling southbound on LA-121. Tackett reportedly lost control of the truck, causing the vehicle to veer off the roadway and collide with a tree.

Tackett’s passenger sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to Rapides Regional Trauma Center for immediate medical attention.

Neither occupant was restrained at the time of the crash.

Toxicology tests are pending, and the accident is currently under investigation.
