Opelousas, LA – Truck Accident Involving Train on LA-3043

Opelouses, LA (September 11, 2019) – On Tuesday, September 10, police responded to the scene of a truck accident involving a train that occurred on LA Highway 3043 in Opelousas.

The truck had allegedly been headed across tracks when a train suddenly struck it. Injuries were sustained by the truck driver who was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

They are not sure of the exact circumstances leading to the accident but have been working on their investigation.

At this time, the accident investigation remains active.
