Opelousas, LA – Man & Son Injured In Hit-And-Run Near Opelousas Junior High

Opelousas, LA (August 31, 2019) – A hit-and-run collision occurred in Opelousas, LA, on the evening of Saturday, August 24. The incident reportedly took place around 7:20 p.m. on W Jefferson Street, just behind Opelousas Junior High School. A man and his son were involved in the accident.

The driver hit the victims head-on and failed to remain at the scene of the accident. Authorities are currently seeking any information that may lead to the identity of the driver involved. 

The father and son were transported to a local medical facility for treatment of their injuries.

Further details surrounding the accident have not yet been released. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
