New Orleans, LA – Collision at Chef Menteur Hwy and Papania Dr Injures 7

New Orleans, LA (June 8, 2019) – Sources report a total of 7 people were injured, 2 critically, after a crash that happened on Chef Menteur Hwy at Papania Dr. on Thursday afternoon, June 6th. EMS was alerted to the wreck just before 1 p.m.

5 injured victims were transported to hospital facilities, while the remaining 2 were taken to the trauma center at University Medical Center. It is unknown if they were in the vehicle or pedestrians at the time of the crash.

The wreck involved two vehicles, a gold Kia sedan and a black Nissan SUV. The Kia struck the sedan while turning onto Papania Dr.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
