Natchitoches Parish, LA – Woman Killed in Wreck on I-49 near LA-174

Natchitoches Parish, LA (June 10, 2019) – A single-vehicle accident resulting from a tire defect took the life of an Alexandria woman earlier today. The woman was apparently traveling down I-49 near LA-174 when her tire gave way.

Louisiana State Police confirm the woman, Delissa Horn, was traveling northbound on 49 at the time of the malfunction. Horn attempted to correct the incident, which caused her to lose control of her vehicle. She ended up hitting a guardrail, and her vehicle overturned.

Horn was ejected from the vehicle suffering critical injuries. She was taken to Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport, where she was later pronounced dead.
