April 11, 2014 Multiple Cyclists Struck on Chef Highway UPDATE A group of cyclists were struck by a vehicle today on Chef Highway approximately 2 miles from Highway 11 heading towards the Rigolets. One cyclist was declared deceased while at least one other is in critical condition at a local hospital after being transported there by EMS. At this time, the cause of the accident is unknown. However, a likely cause is that the driver was distracted and did not see the cyclists.
