Monroe, LA – Tow-Truck Driver Killed In Wreck On I-20

Monroe, LA (August 3, 2019) – Louisiana State Police were at the scene of a crash at around 9:15 p.m. on Friday, August 2nd, in Ouachita Parish. The crash happened on Interstate 20 near the Ouachita/Richland Parish line. The incident took the life of a tow-truck driver. 

Initial reports reveal that the deceased, 65-year-old Lloyd Moore, Jr. of Tallulah, was in the process of loading a disabled vehicle onto his tow-truck. Moore was on the shoulder of Interstate 20 when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle. 

The Ouachita Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced Moore dead at the scene. 

The cause of the wreck is under investigation by local authorities.
