Metairie, LA – Truck Accident On I-10 Leads To Serious Injuries

Metairie, LA (August 21, 2019) – Around 7:40 a.m. this morning, police responded to the scene of a truck accident that took place on Interstate 10 in Metairie.

Authorities arrived at the scene where they found an 18-wheeler had been involved in an accident. The collision caused the truck’s tank to burst open and spill fuel across the roadway.

State troopers confirmed that there were injuries in the accident but they were not believed to be life-threatening in nature. Authorities have not disclosed the nature or severity of the victims’ injuries sustained in the accident.

The number and type of other vehicles involved in the crash has not been released by state troopers.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
