Lillie, LA – 2 Involved in Crash on US-167 Now in Stable Condition

Lilie, LA (June 18, 2019) – The injured parties involved in a wreck on US-167 in Lillie on Saturday, June 15th, are now in stable condition. Bernice Fire Department and Louisiana State Police responded to the scene of the incident at 8:39 p.m.

The crash involved passenger 24-years-old Anna Bolding and driver 27-years-old Jacob Thurlkill, who were on the way back to Norphlet when Thurlkill hit a median in order to avoid striking a car in front of them.

Thurlkill claims he was unaware of how much faster he was traveling than the vehicle ahead and swerved to avoid a collision, striking the median and then a metal pole and tree.

Bolding was transported to Louisiana State University Medical Center for treatment after the crash. She had surgery on her femur and is now in stable condition.

Thurlkill only sustained minor injuries.

The crash is still under investigation at this time.
