Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery. Louisiana State 18-Wheeler Accidents Large commercial vehicles are 20 to 30 times the size of a regular passenger car. This makes 18-wheelers extremely dangerous when they are involved in collisions, and these vehicles take 20-40% longer to come to a stop on the road, making their drivers less able to react to hazards on the roadway. Victims who are injured in a crash with an 18-wheeler will take on expensive damages after an accident.
