Kaplan, LA – Fatal Motorcycle Crash on LA Highway 35 Takes One Life

Kaplan, LA (July 24, 2019) – Police responded to the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash that took place on LA Highway 35 and took the life of one person in Kaplan.

According to authorities, a 50-year-old man identified as Kendall Meyers, of Kaplan, was killed in the crash around 12:30 p.m. on July 18^th.

The investigation into the accident revealed that the crash took place when Meyers was navigating his 2007 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on the highway. He entered into a left-hand curve, which is when his motorcycle ran off the side of the road for reasons that are unknown.

Meyers was immediately ejected from his motorcycle. He was wearing a DOT helmet at the time but still received fatal injuries as a result.
