Jefferson Davis Parish, LA – Passenger Dies After Pickup Truck Accident On Gro Racca Rd.

Jefferson Davis Parish, LA (July 17, 2019) – Local authorities have confirmed that a teenager died after succumbing to injuries sustained during a single-vehicle wreck on Gro Racca Road yesterday, July 17^th.

Based on the state police report and collected evidence, a young man had been driving a 2000 Ford pickup truck along Gro Racca when, for indeterminate reasons, he lost control. As a result, the vehicle slid off the right side of the roadway and flipped over. The resulting impact ejected his passenger, 18-year-old Adam Wyatt Sandhoff, a resident of Iowa, LA, who had been riding in the pickup’s flatbed.

After the crash, a little after 12:15 p.m., emergency personnel brought Sandhoff to a local medical center for treatment of his injuries. Tragically, he died afterward.

Due to the driver’s age, his identity has not been released. Authorities confirmed he had been wearing a seatbelt, and he was charged for distracted driving and operating a vehicle without a valid license.
