Gonzales, LA – Accident Involving Box Truck on Interstate 10

Gonzales, LA (August 14, 2019) – On Tuesday morning, August 13^th, police responded to the scene of an accident that took place on I-10 involving a box truck.

Police claim that the accident took place in the westbound lanes and involved a box truck and a flatbed trailer. The box truck overturned in the accident.

Louisiana State Police said that the accident took place in the early morning hours and that the left lane of traffic was blocked around 10:15 a.m. Backups stretched for approximately five miles.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time. Authorities have not disclosed the nature or severity of the victims’ injuries sustained in the accident.
