February 3, 2014 Child Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in Gentilly Two children were struck by a gray Honda Crosstour as they were crossing Paris Avenue in Gentilly Monday morning around 7:00 a.m. They were rushed to the hospital, where 6-year-old Shaud Wilson tragically died due to his injuries. His 9 year-old sister also had head injuries, but is speaking with her family and her injuries are not thought to be life threatening at this time. Two other children that were with them at the time of the accident were not struck by the vehicle. Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene northbound on Paris Avenue. Police have recovered parts of the vehicle from the scene and believe it received significant damage. They are currently looking to determine the registered owner and driver of the Honda.
