Calcasieu Parish, LA – Fatal Accident in Westbound Lanes of LA Highway 12

Calcasieu Parish, LA (June 26, 2019) – On Tuesday afternoon, June 25^th, around 3:30 p.m., a fatal accident took place on LA Highway 12 in Calcasieu Parish that led to the loss of life in one individual.

State Police confirmed that 19-year-old Dakota Dale Singleton, of Starks, was killed in the crash. At the time, he was traveling west on LA Highway 12 in his 2013 Chevy pickup truck when he suddenly crossed over the center line and ran off the road, traveling into a ditch. His vehicle then struck a tree before coming to a rest.

Singleton sustained fatal injuries due to the crash. The Coroner’s Office pronounced him dead at the scene.

The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
