Baton Rouge, LA – Man Killed in Fatal Crash on Interstate 12

Baton Rouge, LA (July 31, 2019) – Around 7 p.m. on Saturday, a 52-year-old man named Timothy Spears was killed in a fatal crash that took place on Interstate 12.

When Stears attempted to exit the roadway, his vehicle went off the side of the road and ended up in the bottom of a ditch. At the time, Stears had allegedly been hauling lawn equipment in a trailer.

Paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident and pronounced Stears deceased. There was also a passenger in the accident who received serious injuries but was treated for them at the hospital.

The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
