Baton Rouge, LA – Pickup Truck Driver Dies during Rescue Attempt after Flood

Baton Rouge, LA (June 6, 2019) – During the onset of storms in Louisiana and Oklahoma today, one person died and property sustained extensive damage.

This morning, the Baton Rouge Mayor confirmed one person had died in the city following the onset of flood waters accompanying the dangerous storms. Earlier today, members of the Baton Rouge Police Department attempted to rescue the victim, who had been trapped inside a pickup truck stalled in a flooded street.

A news source confirmed the victim succumbed to severe injuries and died.
