Baton Rouge, LA – 1 Dead and 3 Injured in Crash With Semi On I-10 & I-110

Baton Rouge, LA (June 3, 2019) – Reports indicate that a two-part collision took place earlier in the week in Baton Rouge that took the life of a 55-year-old man. This wreck resulted in the death of one and the injury of three other passengers. The crash took place on Monday, May 27^th, at approximately 2:40 a.m.

A BMW crashed into the back of a semi-truck at the intersection of I-10 and I-110 traveling eastbound. The BMW was unable to move after the crash occurred. Smoke and fire were seen billowing from the vehicle.

There were four people inside the BMW who started exiting the burning car following the initial wreck. As the four passengers exited the vehicle, a Chevrolet who was traveling on the roadway struck the disabled BMW and the passengers in the process, causing the BMW to become fully engulfed in fire.

All four BMW passengers were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Robles Betuel was critically injured in the incident and later died in the hospital from his injuries. The other three people suffered injuries as well but are expected to survive their injuries.
