July 5, 2019 Ascension Parish, LA – Fatal Three-Vehicle Collision Involving 18-Wheeler Occurs Along LA-70 Ascension Parish, LA (July 5, 2019) – Local police recently confirmed that a fatal accident involving a car and an 18-wheeler semi-truck occurred on LA-70 near LA-3125 on the morning of Friday, July 5th. Based on the initial report, a car had been heading eastbound down 70 when, for indeterminate reasons, the driver swerved across the centerline. Within seconds, the car slammed into an 18-wheeler that was heading west. As a result of the impact, the driver of a vehicle behind the semi-truck swerved and collided with a culvert.
