September 5, 2019 Lake Charles, LA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident On L’Acadie Dr Lake Charles, LA (September 4, 2019) – According to police, a fatal pedestrian accident involving a child took place on Tuesday night on L’Acadie Drive. The accident occurred around 7:02 p.m. at 1500 L’Acadie Drive in Lake Charles when a vehicle was pulling into a driveway and struck a 5-year-old child. Police officers and emergency responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. After arriving at the scene and assessing the situation, paramedics attempted to provide medical intervention, but the child succumbed to his injuries while on the scene, as a result of the accident. At this time, the investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues. The identity of those involved has not yet been released.
