Shreveport, LA – UPDATE: Victim Of Fatal Accident At LA-526 & Newcastle Blvd Identified

Shreveport, LA (August 29, 2019) – The Caddo Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a deadly collision that took place in West Shreveport. The accident involved three vehicles and took place on Tuesday, August 27. The wreck happened at around 7 a.m. at the intersection of LA-526 (West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop) and Newcastle Blvd.

The deceased victim has been identified as 26-year-old Jessie Rainey, of Shreveport. According to the Shreveport Police Department, Rainey was driving a 2004 white Chevy Monte Carlo at the time of the accident. All three cars involved in the wreck were only occupied by the drivers of the vehicles. No other injuries were reported.

The identities of the other involved parties have not been released.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated by SPD.
