Baton Rouge, LA – Firetruck Accident on Fairfields Avenue with Injuries

Baton Rouge, LA (July 31, 2019) – Around 7 p.m. on July 30, police responded to the scene of a firetruck accident that took place on Fairfields Avenue in Baton Rouge.

The firetruck, which was identified as Engine 2, was damaged but still driveable following the crash. Emergency officials responded to the scene and said that two people were taken to the hospital with injuries but are expected to be okay. They were not firefighters.

The accident took place when the firefighters in their truck were responding to a call.

The firetruck allegedly had its lights and sirens initiated when the accident took place when another vehicle was headed west on Fairfields.

At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
