Gray, LA – Teenager Dies After Critical Injuries on US-90

Gray, LA (July 31, 2019) – On July 29 around 2:39 p.m., a teen received critical injuries in an accident that took place in Gray and has since succumbed to those injuries.

The accident, according to police, took place in the eastbound lanes of US-90. The teenager has since been identified by police as 19-year-old Breanna Bourgeois of Gray.

An investigation into the accident found that Bourgeois was traveling east in her Nissan Altima in heavy rain. She suddenly lost control of her vehicle and ran off the road to the right, where it struck a tree. She suffered critical injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Early this morning, July 31, it was discovered that Bourgeois died due to her injuries. Her passenger suffered minor injuries in the accident and is expected to recover.

The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
