East Feliciana Parish, LA – Fatal Accident on LA-68 Claims One Life

East Feliciana Parish, LA (June 26, 2019) – On Monday night of this week, deputies were called to the scene of a fatal accident on Highway 68 that took one life.

The accident allegedly took place around 9:00 p.m. on Highway 68 and took the life of 38-year-old Jonathan Dubroc. On Tuesday, it was confirmed that Dubroc was the son of a deputy in the area, Tyrone Dubroc.

Louisiana State Police investigated and determined that Jonathan had been driving a 2013 GMC southbound on the highway when he attempted to pass an 18-wheeler in a no-passing zone and went off the side of the road.

Jonathan’s vehicle ran into a tree and caught fire. Police say that by the time they arrived at the scene, he had already suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by police at this time.
