St. Helena Parish, LA – Man Killed in Oil Rig Accident on LA-449

St. Helena Parish, LA (June 3, 2019) – A worker was killed on an oil rig in an accident on Friday, May 31^st. The oil rig is located at 7055 LA-449. The incident occurred sometime during the morning hours. 

The worker from Texas, now identified as 39-year-old Eric Jason Leal, was fatally wounded in an accident that occurred on the rig. Officials have not specified how Leal was injured at the work site, only that he did not survive his injuries.  

There is an ongoing investigation.
