June 16, 2014 Deadly Car Crash Baton Rouge A deadly car crash in Baton Rouge has claimed the life of a75 year old woman. It happened at around 1:20 p.m. at the intersection of Florida Blvd. and Flannery Rd. According to BRPD’s Cpl. Don Coppola, Katie Young was heading north on Flannery and crossing over Florida Blvd in a 2011 Honda CRV. A 1998 Chevy Camero, driven by a 49-year-old man and a 16-year-old passenger, impacted Young’s vehicle. Both drivers and the passenger of the Chevy were transported to a local hospital. Coppola reports that the injuries to the driver and passenger of the Chevrolet did not seem to be life threatening at the time of the incident. An investigation is ongoing for this deadly car crash.
